Local Supplier management is part of the wider P&SM organisation and executes the category strategy on a local level in strong alignment with the group category team. This includes a key emphasis on in-market business development by developing and leveraging local supplier relationships within the 7pillars framework. Main objectives include achieving targeted profitable growth, customer acquisition, market share growth and ROI. This is achieved through development and execution of supplier business plans to realise the category strategy.
Local Supplier management constitute an important part of the market intelligence of the group category team providing market trends and insights as well as customer needs/insights/feedback.
Also part of a virtual regional team to ensure regional alignment and maximization of supplier value extraction in association with procurement.
You would be responsible for the following processes
Development and execution of supplier business plans in line with category strategy
Supplier value extraction
Local sourcing within agreed corridor of terms in close association with Procurement
Communication across all levels of the suppliers’ organisations
Management of supplier expectations in line with our objectives and category strategy
Key Deliverable for the role
Execution of local supplier business plans following the group category strategy with an end-to-end channel understanding
Secure the Supplier’s full line card data to enable automated product launch and improve customer online experience
Deliver agreed KPI’s for: Supplier sales revenue; Supplier product Margin (cost ownership and resale influence); Customer acquisition and lead generation by supplier while focussing on the customer journey
Volume and tender price optimisation for focused customer accounts
Local supplier marketing contributions that tie into the overall RS proposition
Optimum inventory availability, value and health by supplier in local markets
Digital product and supplier performance targets using adobe data via supplier portal with a strong focus on digital channels
Successful track record in supplier/account management or related discipline
Business planning and execution capability
Knowledge and experience of working with an online digital toolset
A collaborative team player across a business with fast moving, customer driven markets
Successful supplier relationship management
Ability to work cross functional as well as cross cultural as part of a wider global team
Strong commercial acumen and broad communication skills
Positive can-do attitude, takes ownership and very results oriented
Excellent command of German and English language is a must
Experience of influencing without direct responsibility
Understands the needs of engineers and buyers (our target customers).
