As an Operations Manager you will be the functional leadership within the Distribution Centre driving for high performing engaged teams to provide exceptional customer service. You will also act as a role model driving a Health, Safety and Environmental culture through the business to the highest standards of compliance.

Reporting to the VP Supply Chain you will be a part of an organisation that promotes personal development, growth and career progression and who will provide you with the tools and training you need to excel in the industry.

What you will enjoy doing to be successful in this role 

  • Deliver functional leadership within the Distribution Centre  
  • Have direct responsibility for 2 reports with a team size of up to 250 
  • Actively engage, partner and collaborate internally and externally to exceed expectations of the operation, our suppliers and our customers. 
  • Have full accountability for the creation and delivery of around £6M budget with disciplined cost management 
  • Over achieve on all KPIs in Quality, Service and Cost
  • Identify areas of improvement whilst providing innovative solutions to improve processes 
  • Lead the way on all things Health, Safety and Environmental compliance 
  • Actively promote a transparent and communicative culture 
  • Support your team and identify opportunities for a robust succession planning strategy 

What you will bring to be successful in this role

  • Highly experienced operations manager ideally from an Inbound environment within distribution and budget control
  • Experience of leading a large diverse team with demonstrable success in engagement
  • Ability to communicate and present at all levels
  • Familiar with workflow management and the use of technology including automation
  • Familiar with analytical tools, WMS functionality and software packages such as SAP
  • Track record in identifying areas of improvement, and implementing change
  • High exposure in delivering continuous improvement plans and adopting lean methodology. 
  • Experience in negotiating and influencing across both business stakeholders and external parties
