As the Maintenance Manager you will be ensuring all Engineering activities are carried out safely and in adherence to regulatory and internal standards. This applies to internal and external resource, processes and equipment. Ensure that new hazards and issues are identified, eliminated or managed. Drive a safety culture. You will make sure all team members are highly trained, engaged and motivated to perform their duties to the best of their ability. Drive high performance through effective 121 sessions and internal appraisal process.

What You Will Do
Within this position you will have full responsibility for the reactive and proactive maintenance activities for all site infrastructure through dedicated RS team or specifically contracted external resource and support services, another specific responsibility for this role is provision, quality and performance of the resident maintenance technical team from Dematic. (4 technician’s on-site to provide front line response, CMMS, spares management and PPM on the Dematic automated equipment). You will be ensuring financial expenditure is forecast and controlled, this is to include resource, capital and revenue costs.
You will ensure the delivery of high performance within all aspects of the function that results in the optimum performance of the building, building services and internal operational equipment. Allow the operational teams to achieve their service and productivity objectives through minimised downtime, prompt resolution of issues, proactive maintenance, upgrades delivered as required, control of spares. You will make sure the site maintains the required compliance (e.g. internal, legal, regulatory, insurance and environmental) in relation to equipment, buildings, utilities, and maintenance activities.
What Will You Bring To the Role
Education to an Engineer (preferred: Electrical) or equivalent (German: Meister)
Min. 10 -15 years of Experience in such a Role incl. People Management
English (good Level in writing/Reading and speaking)
Good Knowledge in all relevant work Rules and Legal obligations
Skilled in influencing across different cultures at all management levels.
Strives for and delivers results through team working and facilitation.
Excellent oral and written skills.

- Understanding of reactive and PPM principles and best practice.
Familiarity with technical aspects of building infrastructure. (Electrical supply & Heating and ventilation, CCTV, Alarms, computer rooms, Fire safety)
MHE equipment maintenance (Conveyors, automated storage, sortation equipment, FLT’s)
Health and safety awareness.
